Overview:
The new regulation on children cosmetics is becoming into effect on January 1st, 2022 “Regulation on Supervision and Administration of cosmetics for Children Cosmetics’ (ordinance No,123 of 2021), with the exception of the new labeling requirements for children’s cosmetic products that will come into force on May 1, 2022.
Introduction
The new regulation defines “children’s cosmetics” as cosmetics that are applicable to children under 12 years of age (including 12 years of age) with function of cleaning, moisturizing, body powder and UV protecting.
This new cosmetic will be an innovation for the children’s market since families with children under 12 are always looking for specific cosmetic products for this age.
Highlights of Important Information on Children's Cosmetic Labeling
- Children’s Cosmetic can be applied to the Skin of Children under 12 Years of Age.
- Children’s cosmetics will be labeled with a mark stipulated by the NMPA, a mark exclusive to that infant product.
- Its Formulation presents: Safety and effectiveness, necessary for Children’s skin.
- General requirements that must have on the packaging of cosmetic Infantins: “used under adult supervision” preceded by “warning” or “caution”.
