Overview:
On February 27, 2022, Cofepris, Mexico Health Authority, announced that the internal affairs office will start is operations in combating corruption.
Many cases have been detected of illegal practices in the last weeks.
Including deception of where people pose as federal public servants or friends of these and ask for money in exchange for favorable resolutions.
CASE: FALSE PUBLIC SERVANTS.
This week a case of illegal practices was detected, where false managers used the names of federal public servants to make believe that they had influence to obtain benefits within the institution, but it resulted in a deception without resolution of procedures. They operate by approaching users before those who pretend to have these connections, asking for amounts that even reach 100 thousand pesos or more in exchange for supposedly expediting resolutions.
People allegedly victims of these deceptions are invited to send an alert through the Citizens Alerters platform.
COFEPRIS ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY:
The institution’s policy is zero tolerance for corruption, and it investigates every complaint and complaint to ensure that no decision is influenced by interests outside of public health. Upon receiving these reports, the corresponding areas accompanied users to file complaints with the relevant authorities.
Cofepris’ position against these irregular practices is clear and open, so any manager who claims to have access or influence lies; in addition, public servants do not follow up on specific procedures.

- A call is made to users not to fall into deception, nor accept offers of procedure in exchange for money, since these are scams where they will lose resources and time.
