Overview:
Foreign companies must notify the food supplements to the Health Authority (HA) in Mexico which is COFEPRIS. If Foreign companies do not have a local subsidiary in Mexico with the proper license, they must appoint a local representative. A Local Representative is responsible for the safety and quality of the product. The local representative in Mexico must have the sanitary license to handle and distribute food supplements products in Mexico.
